One technique, in particular, are the scene changes.

Following the claim that Reitman is demonstrating the decision-making process of teenagers, we are able to see several film techniques that Reitman employs.
#Juno film movie
This may not be to everybody's taste - many found the twee tunes irritating, not charming - but anybody who loved the movie completely will find the Juno soundtrack just as witty and warm as the film itself. Juno, a 2007 offbeat comedy directed by Jason Reitman, follows the pregnancy of the teenage Juno. Some might say that the sickly sweet songs of Dawson don't fit comfortably alongside the Kinks, Mott the Hoople, and Sonic Youth's cover of the Carpenters' "Superstar," but a large part of the appeal of Juno is how the world-weary sarcasm of Gen-X rubs against the unapologetic quirkiness of Gen-Y, and the soundtrack reflects that almost more than the movie, as the Dawson songs are even more prominent on this 19-track album than within the 90-minute movie. Of course she gets pregnant, and after a trip to an abortion clinic that leaves her cold, she decides to have the child. After Minnesota teenager Juno (Elliot Page - Into the Forest) discovers shes pregnant by her friend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera - Scott Pilgrim Vs. Juno, the pregnant teen of the title role, isn't just a kid who loves rock & roll she and her boyfriend Paulie Bleeker play guitars together, the adoptive father of Juno's kid is a recovering grunge rocker who toured the world and elsewhere in 1993, and Reitman punctuates the film with songs, both classic rock and precious twee folk tunes from Kimya Dawson, formerly of the Moldy Peaches. Ellen Page plays Juno MacGuff, a 16-year-old girl who decides it is time for her to experience sex and enlists her best friend Paulie ( Michael Cera) in an experiment he is not too eager to join. Other films include The Wackness, Margaret, and The Darkest Hour.

Thirlby made her film debut in 2006 in the film United 93 before landing the role of Leah in Juno, which was released the following year. Music plays a key part in Juno, the way-too-charming indie comedy directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Olivia Thirlby plays Junos best friend Leah. The 2007 movie Juno raises many ethical issues through the perspective of Juno, a sixteen-year-old girl who becomes pregnant in high school. The movie is based around the moral struggles she faces during the pregnancy, as well as how she handles other characters intervening and imposing their personal beliefs upon her.
